Lord mounts on the Kalpavruksha vahanam

Tirumala, oct 4 (UNI) The enchanting form of Lord Malayappa Swamy as Murali Krishna under the shade of a Kalpavruksha tree cast a spell on devotees on the fourth day of Sri Vari Annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara here today.

A large number of devotees lined up on both sides of the streets to catch a glimpse of the celestial beauty of Lord Balaji as Murali Krishna on "Kalpavruksha Vahanam".

Later, in night, the Lord will ride on "Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam".

Tomorrow being 'Garudotsavam', the most important day of the nine-day festival, heavy influx of pilgrims was seen.

A procession, led by temple elephants, was taken out, with the main attraction being the idol of the Lord decorated with gold ornaments and valuable gems.

People from all walks of life offered prayers to the Lord amid chanting of Govinda Namam.

TTD Chairman D K Adhikesavulu Naidu, TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary and others participated in the procession.
