Jwellery, Gems park to bring about development in Chhattisgarh
Raipur,Oct 4 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minisiter Raman Singh today said setting up of gems and jwellery park would usher in development of diamond and jwellery industries in the state.
Laying the foundation stones for the three projects and inaugurating another one at a cost of Rs 196.30 crore, Dr Singh said all the four projects would be constructed and run by the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation.
The Chief Minsiter said the Rs 170 crore gems and jwellery park would create its own identity like the gems and jwellery industries in Surat, Jaipur and Mumbai.
Dr Singh said adequate facilities would be provided for the cutting ,polishing and designing of diamond and its export.
He said the economy in the region would get a boost with the setting up of the proposed parks.
Talking about the industrial development in the state, Dr Singh several investors had been investing in the steel, cement and power sectors in the last years and MoUs with 51 companies in power sector alone were taken place.
