Four suspected terrorists remanded to judicial custody

Mangalore, Oct 4 (UNI) The Judicial Magistrate First Class III Court today remanded to judicial custody four suspected terrorists, arrested yesterday, till October 17.

The court directed the Mumbai police, who had come with body warrant to take the four arrested suspected terrorists, to contact the local police and the jail authorities for taking them to Mumbai for interrogation.

The district police along with the Anti Naxal Force (ANF) and Mumbai police, in a joint operation yesterday, raided a house in the wee hours at Muttachery in Ullal and arrested Mohammed Ali and his son Javed Ali.

Later, on information provided by them, the police also raided houses at Chembugudde in Ullal, Subhashnagar near Pandeshwar in the city and at Haleyangady near Mulky, and arrested two more persons- Naushad and Ahmed Bawa who were members of Indian Mujahideen outfit.

During the operation, the police also seized five crude bombs,cash of Rs 13.39 lakh, several CDs containing jehadi literature, sim cards, hard disks, a Laptop and passports.
