Demand for change of power at Centre: BJP
New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) The BJP today said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should stop ''living under the illusion'' that the Congress would sail through in the wake of the US Congress giving its approval to the Indo-US Nuclear deal and asserted that there was a mood sweeping the nation favouring a change of power at the Centre.
Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu said the talk everywhere in the country was that there was a need to bring the BJP to power, under the leadership of L K Advani.
He said as far as the party was concerned, it was all set to make a comeback in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh and wrest power in Delhi. ''We are not just saying this to enthuse our workers, but this is a fact,'' he added.
The party admitted two retired IAS officials, former Chief Secretary of Goa, Baleshwar Rai, and former Chief Secretary of Chhatisgarh, Arun Kumar. Both leaders have held several important postings. The third person to be admitted is a Vedic scholar, Tridev Sharma.
The BJP would use their services and advices at the appropriate time, Mr Naidu said.
