Construction works upto Rs 15,000 cr on anvil

Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, Oct 4 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Revenue, Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal said that construction works about Rs 1,500 crore have been underway to make the tourists foray into state's captivating natural scenic beauty.

''The state is gaining special recognition in the map of the world tourism,'' said Mr Agrawal while addressing the inaugural programmes of augmented guest house and Shyam Ghunghutta Dam built by state tourism board's at the cost of Rs 1.5 crore at Chathirma area yesterday.

The function was presided over by state home minister Ram Vichar Netam.

''Domestic and foreign tourists have been exploring the new avenues of tourism here which increases opportunities in employment sector besides praising tone for state's art and culture,'' he said.

Mr Agarwal said that 22 motels have been set up in national highways in the state.

''A plan to develop the lone hill station of the state 'Mainapat' is underway with a budget of Rs 10 crore,'' he added.
