CM annouces Rs 25 cr for setting up 'Knowledge Centre'

Hubli, Oct 4 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today announced an allocation of Rs 25 crore for starting a 'Knowledge centre' at Dharwad Agriculture University.

Speaking after inaugurating, the Krishi Mela here, he said the fund would be allocated in the next budget for establishing the centre for the benefit of farmers.

As his Government had taken oath in the name of farmers of the state, it would continue to develop the agriculture sector at all costs, he said.

Detailing various schemes launched during the last three months after assuming the Chief Minister's post, Mr Yeddyurappa said his government was committed to the development of agriculture and farmers.

Stating that the government would review developmental activities in each taluk and 'hoblis' every 100 days, he said officials would be held responsible for any lapses in the implementation of various government schemes.
