BSF seizes huge explosives from bus in Meghalaya
Shillong, Oct 4 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) seized huge quantity of explosives from a bus on National Highway 39 and detained two people today.
BSF sources said they had set up a mobile check post on the national highway and seized huge quantities of explosives kept inside two suitcases and 12 bags.
The incident occurred when the bus was on way to Dimapur in Nagaland from Shillong.
Among the seized materials were gelatin sticks of over two thousand kg and safety fuse.
Two suspected people were detained and the seized goods were handed over to the concerned department.
Sources said the border guards had also stepped up counter-insurgency operation in Assam and seized huge quantity of arms, ammunition, explosives, and either apprehended or killed many rebels.
