MP: President to attend LNIPE convocation

Gwalior, Oct 3: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will attend the convocation ceremony of Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education here tomorrow.

The President, who will be arriving at the Maharajpura IAF airbase here at 1035 hours tomorrow on a day's visit, will distribute gold medals to the outstanding students of Master of Physical Education and Bachelor of Physical Education, official sources said, adding she will also inaugurate the central library constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore.

Ms Patil will further participate in the golden jubilee function of Ramakrishna Ashram and inaugurate the golden jubilee memorial building 'Roshni', according to Ashram's Secretary Swami Swaroopanand.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister of State for Communication Jyotiraditya Scindia are likely to attend both the functions, the sources added.
