Nirupam holds Opposition responsible for Nano's relocation

Kolkata, Oct 3 (UNI) Strongly reacting to the Tata Motors' relocation of the Nano project from West Bengal due to unabated political turmoil at Singur, Industry Minister Nirupam Sen today asserted that the act of the Opposition, led by Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, smacked of sheer irresponsibility.

Talking to newspersons here after the decision of relocation, Mr Sen said, ''It is not only a loss for the people of Singur, but for the entire state. We tried to extend all possible help to make this project successful, but it was a Tata Motors' decision.'' However, Mr Sen ruled out returning the acquired land at Singur according to the law.

Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata today announced the relocation of the Nano project out of West Bengal after a two-hour meeting with Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at Writers'Buildings.
