Eight killed in road accident in Meghalaya

Shillong, Oct 3 (UNI) At least eight people were killed and 30 injured, some of them seriously, when a bus carrying them fell into a deep gorge at Lailad, 150 km from here, police said.

Police today said the bus was en route to Rankal from the capital town yesterday night when the accident occurred.

The injured had been hospitalised.

A rescue team had rushed to the accident site.
