Diaz didn't want to do 'hair gel' scene in 'There's Something About Mary'
Washington, Oct 3 : American actress Cameron Diaz has revealed that she was not in favour of doing the infamous 'hair gel' scene in 'There's Something About Mary'.
The revelation came about on October 1 at the AFI Night at the Movies, where screening of the movie was going on.
"I didn't want to do it because I was so worried it would discredit Mary," Fox News quoted her as saying.
"We didn't use natural product ... I remember walking across the street from my trailer to the set with my hair sticking up for that scene and traffic stopped. People were wondering what was wrong with me," she said.
Diaz also revealed that it was not just that one particular scene that she was uncomfortable doing, but also the whole movie.
"My agent and manager thought that doing this film was an insane move - I was told it would be the end of my career," Diaz said before the screening.
"But it has been the highlight of my career and my personal life," she added.
