Cabinet to ratify ILO convention no 142
New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for ratification of the ILO Convention No. 142 and action taken on Recommendation No. 150 concerning Human Resource Development.
Announcing this, Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi told reporters that this would help in enhancing the "skills of personnel which in turn will contribute to greater employment, growth, and increased productivity." The measures -- ratification of the ILO Convention No. 142 and action taken on Recommendation No. 150 (Revised and replaced in 2004 by Recommendation No. 195) -- concern Human Resource Development adopted at the 60th Session of the international Labour Conference held in Geneva in 1975.
