BKMU urges administration to implement Land Reforms Act

Puducherry,Oct 3(UNI) The Bharathiya Keth Mazdoor Union (BKMU)today urged the territorial administration to properly implement the Land Reforms Act in the Union Territory.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the 11th State Conference of BKMU which concluded here yesterday urged the administration to provide free colour television, LPG connections to the Scheduled Caste people, Rs two lakh to construct houses and Rs 25,000 as marriage assistance to them, incentive and rain coats to agricultural labourers before Deepavali.

The meeting also resolved to organise a fast in front of the Villianur sub-collector and Karaikal administrator's office on November seven in support of the demand of the landless poor.

Mr Viswanath Sastri, BKMU, All India Vice-President and Mr Nagendra Oza, BKMU, All India General Secretary, participated in the conference.
