2 high-level dismissed in corruption cases
Hyderabad, Oct 3 (UNI) Former Divisional Manager, Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) Warangal District, C Venugopala Swamy was dismissed from service by the Vice Chairman&Managing Director, APFDC here today, following his conviction by the Principal Special Judge for ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) cases on charges of bribery.
According to a release, the dismissed employee was trapped by the ACB officials in 2003, when he accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 to do an official favour.
In another case, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, imposed a punishment of 100 per cent cut in pension and withheld the pensionary benefits of the former administrative officer , Medical and Health Office, at Rangareddy in Medak district, following his conviction in a corruption case by the Court of Principal Special Judge for ACB cases.
He was trapped by the officials in 2000, when he accepted a bribe of Rs 500 from the complainant to do an official favour, the release added.
