Karnataka CM pays floral tribute to Mahatma
Bangalore, Oct 2: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyuarappa paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
Mr Yeddyuarappa garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan on behalf of the administration. The Chief Minister also took part in the book release function on the Mahatma.
Leaders of various political parties alongwith party functioneries of Congress, JD-S and Samajawadi Party at their party offices garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
Patriotic songs were sung and inter-faith prayer meetings were held.
Jumma Masjid Trust Boad in its Ramzan prayer meeting remembered the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Apostle of Peace and non-violence and called for fighting terrorism in the country.
