Four drown in irrigation well in TN village

Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, Oct 2 (UNI) Four women, including two girls drowned in an irrigation well while taking bath at Sirukudal village near here today.

Police said the deceased were dentified as Amsavalli (16), Mariyammal (32), Selvi (10) and Sangeeta (8).

All the four drowned one after another while trying to rescue Amsavalli, who was struggling in the water.

With the help of local villagers police fished out the bodies from the well and sent them to the Government hospital here for post-mortem.
