Centre should find solution on Sri Lankan Tamils issue: Swamigal
Tiruchirapalli, Oct 2 (UNI) The 292nd pontiff of Madurai, Adheenam Srilasri Arunagirinatha Shri Gnasambantha Desika Paramacharya Swamigal today appealed to the centre to convene an all party meeting immediately to discuss the Sri Lankan Tamils issue to find an amicable solution.
Addressing a press conference here, he opined that a separate Tamil Eelam was the only answer for this ethnic issue. The Indian government should workout a strategy to address the issue, he added.

''I do not know the reason for this,'' he added.
He said he was working for comunal harmony by touring all over Tamil Nadu.
It was the duty of the government to restore the armed escort for him, he asserted.
Later, Swamigal participated in a day's fast, organised by the Communist Party of India, as part of their statewide agitation in support of the cause of Sri Lankan Tamils.
