A 70-year-old man trampled to death by an elephant

Madikeri, Oct 2(UNI) A 70-year-old man was trampled to death by an elephant at Adinadur near Tannerhalla on Sunday last.

According to delayed reports, Mr Bolaiah was collecting honey from a reserve forest when a pachyderm appeared and threw him into air and trampled him.

Severely injured Bolaiah was shifted to Wenlock hospital, Mangalore where he breathed last.

DFO Mallesh visited the house of the diseased and assured to release compensation.
