Veteran freedom fighter Anant Hari Kshirsagar passes away
Akola, Maharashtra, Oct 1 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter Anant Hari Kshirsagar, popularly known as 'Muni Guruji,' died today.
He was 100.
Kshirsagar, who celebrated his 100th birthday on August nine, breathed his last at his son's residence in Amravati early this morning.
'Muni Guruji' had been involved in the armed uprising against the British rule. He also participated in the movement to liberate Goa.
Kshirsagar worked as an informant for the Indian government during the Hyderabad liberation.
Mr Kshirsagar leaves behind a son and three daughters. His son, Mohan Kshirsagar, is an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), and is currently posted in Amravati.
