Temple stampede toll touches 224 mark

Jodhpur, Oct 1 (UNI) The toll in the Chamunda Mata temple stampede yesterday, has risen to 224, an official spokesman said here tonight.

While 147 deaths were confirmed till last night, 77 more have been confirmed today, the spokesman said.

This confirmation was based on verification of claims made by the kins of the victims in their FIR and the records of various crematoriums in the city, he added.
