Student dragged in by waves, dies on way to hospital
Kannur, Kerala, Oct 1 (UNI) A 16-year-old student of Thalassery Higher Secondary School, who was dragged in by the waves of the Arabian sea at Payyambalam beach, succumbed on the way to hospital after being rescued.
Police said K Rizwan, who hailed from Mattanur, had come to the beach along with 15 friends to have a bath when the mishap ocurred.
They were enjoying the 'Eid' holiday.
Though Life guards rescued Riswan from drowning, he died on the way to hospital, police added.
