Smoking banned in public places in K'taka
Bangalore, Oct 1 (UNI) The Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco Cell today issued an order against smoking in public places as part of the nation-wide ban from tomorrow.
According to an official statement here, smoking would be strictly prohibited in all public places.
The state government has issued the order following the centre's directive.
Any violation of the order would be treated as a punishable offence and attract a fine of Rs 200, it said.
