Silver, gold crashed in opening session
Mumbai, Oct 1: Prices of both the precious metals crashed in the opening session on Wednesday, Oct 1 with silver falling by Rs 700 per kg and gold by Rs 115 per ten gm, from their last close on sustained heavy selling pressure from stockists in view of weak global advices, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
In the international market, gold was recorded at USD 880.00/881.50 per ounce (USD 889.00/889.50), while silver was at USD 12.35/12.36 an ounce (USD 13.38/13.39). Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 20,540 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 13,295 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,350.
