SIFCC requests producers, directors to avoid smoking scenes

Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has requested film producers and directors to avoid scenes showing smoking following the ban on smoking by the Centre.

A release from the Chamber here today said consequent to the ban order, which would come into effect from October two, the Central Board of Film Certification had informed that scenes showing smoking in the public by any character would be deleted as a censor cut.
