Prof S K Singh appointed VC of HNBG University

Dehra Dun, Oct 1 (UNI) Uttarakhand Governor B L Joshi has appointed Prof S K Singh as the Vice Chancellor of the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.

Prof Singh, at present with the Department of Physics at the Aligarh Muslim University, would assume charge as Vice Chancellor during the first week of October, a Raj Bhavan official told UNI today.

Prof Singh's appointment comes after IIT Delhi Prof H K Seghal opted out from the vice-chancellorship of the University, citing personal reasons.
