Minor student gang raped and murdered;3 teachers arrested

Berhampur, Orissa, Sep 30 (UNI) A minor girl student, studying in Class VII, under Polsara police station in Ganjam district was allegedly gang raped and murdered by her teachers today.

The police have detained head master Biswanath Gouda and teachers Santosh Kumar Patnaik and Durga Sahu in connection with the ghastly crime and is interrogating them.

Polsara police station Officer in charge Manoj Kumar Samant. said they found the body of the girl student in the urinal of the school at about 1100 hours along with some important clues.

The girl's father Biranchi Narayan Sahu has registered a FIR in the Polsara police station alleging that Durga Sahu, who is teaching Science to the students was teasing his daughter earlier and suspected that he and other teachers had raped and murdered her.

Though the girl went to the school at 1030 hours, she was marked absent in the attendance register. The police have registered a case under section 302 and 376 of the IPC and has sent the body for post mortem.

The OIC said all the three three teachers picked up after the incident would be sent for medical examination tomorrow.
