Mah, Veneto to exchange nano-biotechnology research works
Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Maharashtra and the Veneto Region in Venice have decided to exchange Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and other research works, after Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had discussions in this regard with Minister for Economic Development, Veneto, Vendemiano Sartor at a Round Table Conference.
After the conference yesterday, two MoUs and one Letter of Intent were signed, an official press release said here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sartor said ''Maharashtra is the most industrialised and urbanised state of India. The Veneto Region has done excellent work in environment management and Maharashtra can be benefited from it. Vendemiano visited Mumbai in 2006 and after that a new era of co-operation between Maharashtra and Veneto Region has started.'' The Chief Minister said ''this is a historic day for Maharashtra and Venice, as it will largely contribute for the development of agriculture research and agriculture processing''.
