Hope Foundation School to be expanded
Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) Pavers Foresight Foundation today renewed its commitment to support the cause of primary education in the country, by announcing plans to expand the Hope Foundation School adopted by it at suburban Thorapakkam here.
The foundation had adopted the school in 2004 where they support the day to day functioning of the establishment at Rs 15 lakhs per annum.
Announcing to their commitment to set up a new facility on the land allotted by the Tamil Nadu government, Foundation JMD Nanban said, ''We are setting aside a seed capital of USD 50,000 (Rs 22 lakhs) for the operations of the School and will pledge a further amount of USD one million (Rs four crore) over the next few years.'' Pavers England Managing Director Yavar Dhala said his company's retail brand ''Pavers'' is committed to support the social cause of providing primary education in India and to this extent Pavers England would donate a percentage from every sale towards this noble and needy cause.
The entire senior management and Trustees of the Foundation, part of the leading footwear major Pavers England, signed a pledge offering their commitment to the school.
