Army deployed to put out fire in shopping complex

Bareilly, Oct 1 (UNI) Army was pressed into service to put out the fire that broke out in a commercial complex near Ayub Khan crossing here today.

Property worth crores was reduced to ash after the fire broke out in the private complex due to a short circuit.

The inferno engulfed nearly all the branded showrooms, including Adidas, Reebok, Signature, Legendar, SSP V K Singh said.

The raging flames could only be extinguished after an hour of struggle by a joint team of army jawans and local fire fighters.

However, no casualty was reported, Mr Singh added.
