7000 NCC cadets to take Pledge for Communal Harmony at India Gate

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) To mark Gandhi Jayanti, Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju will administer a pledge to over 7,000 NCC cadets for communal harmony tommorrow.

The young cadets, hailing from all across the country, will meet at the India Gate lawns tomorrow morning to commit themselves to fostering communal harmony, according to the Defence Ministry.

More than 30 Members of Parliament are likely to be present on the occasion to express solidarity with the mass movement, initiated by the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world.
