17 injured in 5 bomb blasts in Tripura
Agartala, Oct 1 (UNI) At least 17 people were injured, four of them seriously, in simultaneous bomb blasts in five different areas of Tripura today.
DIG (Police Operations) Nepal Das here said the blasts took place at around 1945 hrs in the main market area of Maharajgunj in the heart of the capital town, Radhanagar bus stand, G B Bazar, Krishnagar and tribal-dominated Abhaynagar in the outskirts of the capital.
All the four critically injured were from the busy Maharajgunj area, he added.
Mr Das stated that people behind the blasts were yet to be identified.
Police had cordoned-off all the areas as panic had gripped people following the blasts.
All the injured had been admitted to Indira Gandhi Memorial hospital, where the condition of four was stated to be critical.
