We need managers with new entrepreneurial skills: Gopalakrishnan

Mumbai, Sept 30 (UNI) The Need of the hour are managers who can handle every type of situation with their qualities and skills, rather then those who apply only the theories taught in Business Schools, Tata Sons Executive Director R Gopalakrishnan observed today.

Speaking at the 35th National Management Convention, organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on the theme- '' The New Manager'' here, Mr Gopalakrishnan urged that business leaders need to develop their intuition, balance evidence and look up to their experiences, to function effectively.

''Analysis can help you upto a point, but the rest is based on experience and intuition,'' he said.

Sheriff of Mumbai, Dr Indu Shahani said the country needed managers with innovative entrepreneurship skills and a passion to serve the country.'' UNI ZC SR NP1555
