TRS delegation demands action against Cong MP

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) A delegation of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leaders today called on Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy and pressed for the arrest of Congress Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal for alleged ''criminal negligence''.

The Home Minister assured the delegation to look into the facts and ensure that the law takes its own course.

The delegation led by TRS Legislature Party Leader E Rajender expressed displeasure with non-registering of a case against the MP by Nizamabad police in connection with the injuries caused by the MP's car which was part of the External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukerjee's convoy during their recent visit to the residence of Pradesh Congress President D Srinivas.

The delegation also demanded withdrawal of the attempt to murder case registered against the TRS activists who threw stones at a building of the Lanco group of industries promoted by Mr Rajagopal.
