SR arranges payment for retiring staff under new pay scales
Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) The Southern Railway has arranged payment of settlement dues to all staff and officers, who retired today,in the revised pay scales recommended by the VI Pay Commission.
In all, 190 officials superannuated from Divisions,Workshops and Headquarters of the Southern Railway and dues settled as per revised pay scales recommended by the Pay Commission.
This has resulted in an approximate increase of 65 to 75 per cent in pension and other retirement dues for employees, a Railway release said here today.
This was done by Southern Railway ahead of all other Railway Divisions and Central Government establishments.
At a function held in Southern Railway Headquarters here today, Mr Rakesh Chopra, General Manager, Southern Railway, distributed cheques to the retired officials.
