Sonia Gandhi to visit Nanded on October 7

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) AICC President Sonia Gandhi will be participating in the Tercentenary celebrations of Guru Granth Sahib, starting in Nanded on October seven.

The celebrations will begin at the Hazur Sahib Gurudwara, one of the five takhts of the Sikhs.

At least 10 lakh devotees are likely to arrive for the celebrations, with the district administration gearing up to provide all facilities to the visitors. All government buildings and the Railway station would be illuminated on the occasion.

Party sources here said a big welcome was also being planned for Ms Gandhi by the state unit of the Congress during her visit.

MPCC president Manikrao Thakre met state party leaders in the city yesterday to make preparations for her visit.
