New Delhi, Sept 30 (UNI) Novatium Solutions today launched its ''Navigator'' services, which help users access multiple operating systems like Microsoft and Mac on a single computer.
''The service will allow the user to work on a host of programs without having to worry about upgrades and he gets the option of working on different operating systems like Microsoft, Mac, Linux etc on a single computer,'' Novatium Chief Executive Officer Alok Singh told reporters here.
The company expects to hook in about 30,000-35,000 users by December-end.
The services will be rolled out in a phased manner.
With the initial rollout in Delhi and NCR today, the company will enter Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata in November, while it will start services in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune and Ahmedabad in December.
''The national rollout will happen in early 2009,'' he said.
The customer needs to pay Rs 5,999 (plus taxes) and have a broadband connection and a computer monitor to access the services.
A monthly charge of about Rs 150 will get him access to a basic package of up to 20 applications like file managers, games, media player and operating system, he said.
The company is also looking at overseas markets like countries in Latin America, Europe and APAC countries in focus. ''The service is under testing in Australia and Brazil. After we get a feedback here, we will look at launching services in these countries as well,'' Mr Singh said.
