Nawanshahr renamed as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar

Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) The Punjab Government has issued a notification to rename the existing district Nawanshahr as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar with immediate effect.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Punjab Government said that the copy of the notification had been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Nawanshahr to immediately effect the change in the relevant revenue record.
