Lalu condoles the demise of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi
New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today expressed sorrow at the demise of Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) President Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi whom he described as one of India's prominent Muslim leaders and great orator.
In his condolence message, Mr Prasad said Mr Owaisi was one who fought for the minorities and downtrodden. His devotion for the economic development and educational advancement of the minorities would be remembered for long.
The RJD supremo said Mr Owaisi was among the few who had been elected for six consecutive terms as Member of Parliament.
"The void created by his demise would be difficult to fill," he said.
