Kupwara gets Rs 12 crore under BRGF
Srinagar, Sep 30 (UNI) The frontier district of Kupwara gets Rs 12.82 crores in the Annual Action Plan under Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) scheme.
An official spokesman today said the amount was for the creation of rural infrastructure aimed at covering the priority sectors in the district.
He said the scheme envisages to submit a plan upto worth Rs one crore for the sectors like Health, Education, Agriculture and its allied sectors, irrigation, among others, so that infrastructure in rural areas can be developed which can boost production and provide employment opportunity to the rural educated youth and locals.
