Golden Peacock Award for NTPC

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Public sector firm National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has been adjudged the winner of Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for the year 2008.

The award was given by the Golden Peacock Awards Jury under the Chairmanship of Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member UN Human Rights Commission.

The Award was received by A K Rastogi, Company Secretary, NTPC on behalf of the company at a special Awards function held in London from Dr Ola Ulsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden and Chairman of the World Council for Corporate Governance in the presence of C B Bhave, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), said an official release issued here today.
