24 detenues to be released on Eid in J

Jammu, Sep 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government has revoked the detention order of 24 detenues under Public Safety Act (PSA), who would be released on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, sources here today said.

''The decision to revoke the detention order was taken in a meeting reviewed by the Joint Secretary Kashmir from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,'' sources told UNI.

However, sources further added that the steps were initiated on the eve of Eid so that the detenues after being released from the respective jails, reach homes and celebrate the festival.
