11 policemen injured in road accident

Motihari, Sep 30 (UNI) Altogether eleven policemen were injured when a jeep carrying them hit a tree on Motihari-Muzaffarpur state highways under Piprakothi police station area in East Champaran district today.

Police said the incident took place when the jeep carrying them dashed against a tree as the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheels.

The injured were part of the escort party of District Magistrate and Police Superintendent of East Chapmaparn, who were on way to attend the high level meeting, convened by the Chief Secretary in Muzaffarpur, police said.

The injured had been admitted to a local hospital, police added.
