Youth killed in landslide in Nashik Dist

Nashik, Sep 29 (UNI) A 28-year-old youth was crushed to death and another injured in a landslide at Saptashring Garh of the district yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Vilas Pawar, a resident of Khandala in Shrirampur taluka of Ahmednagar district.

Pawar, who had come to seek blessings of Goddess Saptashringi, was returning after paying obesiance to the presiding deity, when there was a landslide. In that, a boulder came hurtling down the mountain and struck Pawar and his friend Sukhdev More, while they were on the 'Pradakshina' route. Pawar lost his life, whereas More was injured in the accident, sources said today.
