Woman among 3 killed in Jammu mishap

Jammu, Sep 29 (UNI) Three people were killed and one seriously injured when their car collided with a truck near Supwal on Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here today said.

''The car collided with a speeding truck at Supwal last evening killing three people on the spot and injuring one,'' the sources told UNI.

The police parties however, rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to a local hospital where three of them were declared as brought dead while the injured was referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu.

The deceased have been identified as Vaishno Devi, 57, her son Amit Mahajan, 29 and driver Deepak Kumar while, Chaman Lal was critically injured, all of them were residents of Choudhary Hari Singh Nagar, Amritsar.

Police has registered the case and seized the truck while hunt is on to nab the absconding driver.
