Vijayshanthi, Kishan Reddy hold talks on Telangana issue
Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Talli Telangana Party chief Vijayshanthi, who struck a political understanding with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti to work together to realise the common goal of statehood for Telangana, held parleys with Bharatiya Janata Party Legislature Party Leader G Kishna Reddy here today.
Talking to newspersons after the meeting, the actress-turned- politician said parties striving to realise separate Telangana state, could not ignore the BJP, which was leading the opposition National Democratic Alliance after it had become clear that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance was ''unsincere'' on the issue.
It is unfair to doubt BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani who has promised to include the statehood for Telangana in the party's election manifesto'', she said, adding that all parties working for the common goal should work with the BJP.
Mr Reddy claimed that it was the BJP which had been instrumental in the formation of three new states of Jharkand, Chhattisgarh and Uttarkhand, was in a position to give statehood for Telangana too.
