Vice-President asks people to keep knitted in these trying times

New Delhi, Sept 29 (UNI) Vice-President Hamid Ansari today called upon the people to emulate the teachings of Maharaja Agrasen, who talked about unity and integrity in society, especially in these times when the social fabric was being ruptured by various disruptive forces.

The leader who preaches unity and equality is a true leader in complete sense, and Maharaja Agrasen was one of those leaders who taught us the art of living, he told the audience at a function organised to mark Agrasen Jayanti celebrations here.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Coal Santosh Bagrodia said after getting elected our objecvtive should be to serve the people than ruling them and added that the first priority of a public servant should be the 'service of the people'.

He also said the aim of all leaders should be to become a role model before the countrymen.
