Two lakh worth coral reefs seized in TN

Tuticorin, Sep 29 (UNI) Police today seized coral reefs worth Rs two lakh from a lorry at Therespuram in this district of Tamil Nadu.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a police team rushed to the spot and intercepted the speeding lorry. They noticed 82 boxes of coral reefs packed in the vehicle and seized it.

The lorry driver Mani(32) was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.

The case was handed over to the forest department.
