Tripura police issues guidelines for Durga Puja
Agartala, Sep 29 (UNI) To ensure peaceful celebrations, Tripura Police has made prior permission mandatory for the Durga Puja organisers in the state and asked them to submit the clearance certificates from the Electricity, Fire service, Telephone, Municipal/Nagar Panchayat authorities and Traffic Departments.
In a release issued here today, police said the petition seeking permission of organising Durga Puja/Kali Puja must contain particulars of the president, secretary and other executive members of the committee which has to be submitted to the concerned police stations well in advance.
The subscription books have to be serially and properly numbered and the concerned police stations/Out Posts should be kept informed and be signed by the concerned officer in-charge, it said.
The authorites have also prohibited collection of donations from any government or private offices, government quarters, educational institutions, industries and drivers/passengers/contractors of any vehicles on road.
Use of noise making crackers, loudspeakers, microphones would be subjected to the existing rules, regulations and laws during and after the Puja and in case of any violation in this regard, concerned defaulters will entail legal prosecutions, the release added.
