Social call for poverty not votes: Shwekhawat
Bhind (MP), Sep 29: Former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Sunday, Sep 28 called for public awareness against corruption that was spreading in the country.
''We have to create a social relationship not for votes but for eradicating poverty. The country is bigger than caste. Any caste struggle would cause tremendous harm to the country and society,'' he said while addressing a 'Kshatriya Chetna Jagran Evam Sashaktikaran Samaroh' at this district's Adokhar village. Mr Shekhawat also released a book entitled 'Rajput Kshatrey Vansh Bhaskar' by Mr Mohan Singh Chouhan. Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, who presided over the function, pointed out the need for Kshatriyas to change with times.
