Sesame, copra oils costlier on festive demand

Mumbai, Sep 29 (UNI) Prices of sesame expeller and copra white varieties today advanced on good festival demand, while groundnutseed, its oil and palmolein oil remained steady on moderate buying support by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oils (per kg) sesame expeller and copra white prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal each on sustained festival buying by stockists, in view of lesser stocks. However, groundnut oil and palmolein remained unchanged on moderate buying support by bulk consumers.

Meanwhile, linseed became cheaper by Rs three on sluggish demand by stockists.

De-oiled cakes remained unchanged today, traders added.
